Health Safety Notification

Due to COVID-19 and per CDC guidelines, we are seeing patients on a modified schedule. Patients are required to wear a mask or face covering while in clinic. Unfortunately due to the PPE shortage, EANW cannot provide masks to patients. Upon arrival to the clinic, you will be asked if you have experienced a fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, and/or sudden loss of taste or smell within the past 14 days. We will also take your temperature. All visitors will be asked to wait in the car, unless they are needed for the appointment (caregiver, interpreter, etc.).

Nathan D. Wilbanks, MD

Dr. Wilbanks is a comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery, glaucoma care, and treatment of macular degeneration. He offers femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) with premium intraocular lens implantation and performs minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). He also enjoys seeing patients for general eye examinations.

Dr. Wilbanks was born and raised in Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine (UAB). He then completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia where he was trained in eye surgery.

Dr. Wilbanks is married to his wife Lindsey, who holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Political Science. They enjoy spending time with their newborn daughter while having their hands full with their French bulldog and boxer, Ava and Bennett.
