Thomas S. Copperman, MD

Dr. Thomas Copperman is a board certified oculofacial plastic surgeon. He focuses on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyes and face and is fellowship trained in this area. His interests include minimally invasive surgical and nonsurgical treatments for facial rejuvenation.

After completing his bachelors of science at The Ohio State University he pursued his medical degree at Wright State University. He succeeded early on in medical school and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha honorary society recognizing those with high educational achievement. He then matriculated into a combined surgical and medical internship at Mount Carmel Health System followed by an ophthalmic surgery residency at Boston University.

To further develop his interest in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery Dr. Copperman pursued a highly competitive fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery at The University of California San Francisco, one of the most sought after programs in the country. This two year fellowship allowed Dr. Copperman to master the most advanced techniques in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyes and face. During this time he also served as a clinical instructor at The University of California San Francisco and was actively involved in teaching oculoplastic surgery to resident physicians.

Dr. Copperman is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the prestigious American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), an elite society of 500 members specializing in cosmetic surgery of the eyelids and face. He has taught at various facial and orbital surgery courses, lectured at national conferences, and is published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals.

Today Dr. Copperman practices the full scope of oculofacial plastic surgery and aims to achieve natural, lasting results for his patients.
